This may be a moot point now, but in the future when you delete something or empty your Recycle Bin and want to recover something from it... Stop using the computer now. Your recovery chances are better if the file has not been overwritten. This is free. Restoration Version 2.5.14 Author: Brian Kato http://www3.telus.net/mikebike/RESTORATION.html

The file never actually deletes. You can recover it after days or weeks as long as you dont delete much. Use the above software it works great for me.

Glenn is 100% correct, GreatOne. . "Deleting" a file is really a process where we tell the computer it is OK to use the HD space the file is stored in for other purposes. This is because it is MUCH faster to do this than to actually erase the file data by writting over it. It's also much easier on your HD physically, as wear and tear on the movable components is reduced drastically. (i.e.- makes your HD last longer) . Destroying that data actually requires the space on the HD where the data is stored to be written over, either with new data or with random numbers. And as tjatheron said in his answer, the less you use your computer after deleting something you want to recover, the greater the odds you will be able to recover the data.
