Oh god you poor thing, to have that happen would be awful. I have had rabbit who have had a few litters and if it were to happen to me then I would leave the previous babies in the hutch and keep a very close eye on things. At 4/5 weeks old they are still meant to be feeding from mum so I wouldnt take them away unless she looks like she is being agressive towards them. Why dont you call the vet to get some expert advice? Hope it turns out well for you and the rabbits and make sure mum gets a well deserved rest after the second lot... :)

This is just awful. You will have to take the older kits away from mom or sacrifice the younger ones. She cannot possible feed both litters. It will hurt her physically too much. And the older ones could hurt or even kill the little ones accidentally. If you choose to wean the older ones, give them plenty of hay and veggies to eat, pellets if they like them. Leave a nest box for them to keep warm. They must stay warm or they will use up too many calories keeping warm. The youngest ones need the mom for nursing and for cleaning them and such.

This has happend to me, the mum should be able to feed both litters but you need to keep an eye on all the kits incase some are being left out, if they are then ring the vet and separate all the older kits leaving mum with the youngest and get advice, thanks x

young rabbits can have goats milk i would finnish rearing the older kits yourself and let the youngest have there mum rabbits can be weened at 6 weeks so they all have a fighting chance
