  • Since I started getting quick results from P90X, many of my friends jumped on the P90X bandwagon as well. Yet after several months, most of them still haven’t started… so I asked them why, and one of the two common answers was: “I have to get in shape first before starting the P90X workout program…”
  • When you buy the program, there is a work out schedule for the entire 90 days. Each week has a specific routine to follow, and what Tony refers to as "Muscle Confusion" is the reason for the quick results. As for your friend, there is no reason why they cant start the program immediately. The first phase of each workout is called the "adaptive" stage which is the first 30 days. In this first phase, Tony targets the workout that will help to get you prepared for the remaining 60 days to be completed. He understands that you may start out doing only 2 push ups, 1 pull up, etc. As he implies "Do your best and forget the rest." There are three different workout programs that are in the P90x workout system. These include: 1) P90x Classic- For those who are looking for the regular workout. Keep in mind, it is still VERY challenging 2) P90x Doubles- For those looking for a bit more of a challenge. It is called "Doubles" because beginning the second month phase, included is a morning routine that will be followed by the regular afternoon routine (ex. cardio in the morning) 3) P90x Lean- For those searching for a lean body and to burn calories specifically for losing weight and gaining lean muscle. It is the easiest of the three programs, yet still challenging. I recommend for your friend to try the P90x Lean, and if the workouts are still to much to perhaps try running a treadmill or another form of cardio a week before starting this program. Good luck
