  • there are no marriages in heaven in my opinion. just everyone focussed on worshipping God - not each other.
  • Heh, I've always thought about that too. I have no idea...let me know what you find out:)
  • isn't there some story in the NT about a jewish woman who married a man, he died, so as was custom she married the bro and then that one died and so on and so forth until the last one died, and then when the pharisees asked jesus about it he said pretty much that it wouldn't be a matter of concern because they wouldn't be married in heaven like the way they are on earth?
  • theres no marriage in heaven... we will remember life from earth as a shadow and glimmer; looking thru a hazy looking glass. we will remember those we knew, in a vague sorta sense. there will be no sin in heaven and no remembrance of sin. we will only see things thru a rose paired glasses. those things that complicate our lives in heaven will be forgotten. only the good, the truly good, sacrificial efforts of life will remain. everything else will be burned up and away.
  • The Saduccees asked the exact same question to Jesus (only they did it in order to try and catch him up on the Law of Moses), but the answer is the same: 14 On that day Sadducees approached him, saying that there is no resurrection. 15 They put this question to him, 24 saying, "Teacher, Moses said, 'If a man dies 16 without children, his brother shall marry his wife and raise up descendants for his brother.' 25 Now there were seven brothers among us. The first married and died and, having no descendants, left his wife to his brother. 26 The same happened with the second and the third, through all seven. 27 Finally the woman died. 28 Now at the resurrection, of the seven, whose wife will she be? For they all had been married to her." 29 17 Jesus said to them in reply, "You are misled because you do not know the scriptures or the power of God. 30 At the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage but are like the angels in heaven. 31 And concerning the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what was said to you 18 by God, 32 'I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob'? He is not the God of the dead but of the living." 33 When the crowds heard this, they were astonished at his teaching. ==================== There is no marriage in heaven, therefore. We are not there to procreate. That is what earth is for. Heaven is for learning about God and having perfect relationships with people. That means if you were married on earth 5 times, and all five husbands and you met up in heaven, the love you shared with each would still be there, but in perfected form. Your ultimate purpose would be to stand and worship God together.
  • Given a choice, I'll hang with Mrs csimme01 2.0 Mrs csimme01 1.0 had a lot of bugs and never really worked that well. If it wern't for csimme01 Jr, csimme01 1.0 would have been a total waste.
  • Is "pologamy" marrying polo players? :o) I'd like to think heaven, should it exist, is a place where all can hang out together in harmony. So you could be with all of your significant relationships. I honestly don't know if polygamy exists in heaven - and neither does any other living person.
  • My ex-s/o had mental health issues so she was escorted back to Canada. If (hopefully when) I go to heaven I hope I see my ex there being happy and free of her earhbound torment. However, I would want to hang out with my wife and whatever friends I have at the end. If my wife dies shortly before I do then I won't be remarrying. The thought of her dying in the near future is too sad for me to think about what I'd do after that. :(
  • The relationship of marriage that exists on Earth does not actually exist in Heaven. We will all be family, because we will all be brothers and sisters in Christ. You will be able to spend time with whomever you choose in Heaven. But, that person will not be your spouse. In the Bible, Christ refers to all those who will enter Heaven as "The Bride." He is the Groom. And yes, there actually will be a great ceremony where the Groom receives His Bride, all of us, to be his spouse. Sounds different, I know, but that is His plan. So, The Good Lord Himself is who you will "hang out with."
  • Jesus said in heaven we'll niether marry nor give in marriage. We will love with a higher love. There will be no sexual component there. Though I believe there will be male and female. There will be no way for sin to come in, and no scripture speaks of children being born in heaven.
  • Thee is no going to heaven. When you die, you are out of existence. Just think about all the logistical problems that are solved by this truth from the Scriptures. http://bible.cc/ecclesiastes/9-5.htm
  • The Bible tells us, “At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven” (Matthew 22:30). This was Jesus’ answer in response to a question concerning a woman who had been married multiple times in her life —whom would she be married to in heaven (Matthew 22:23-28)? Evidently, there will be no such thing as marriage in heaven. You will know each other but marriage will no longer exist because there won't be any need for it.
  • Y'all have an orgy in heaven because, remember, their prior S/O will up there waiting for them, without a doub

If there is no marriage in heaven then obviously there will be no polygamy.
  • you will be able to be with whoever you want in Heaven... you think "I wonder what it would be like to talk to Moses" and you're there. There is no marriage in Heaven.
  • I asked a similar question before and I was told "til death do us part" so.. :(
  • Supposedly anything that detracts from worship, like having a family, would be a big no-no in Heaven.
  • are you an ex mormon?
