I have the same problem with my Hitachi tv and have found that if you continually press the aspect ratio button immediatly after turning the set on, it usually stays on. No idea how this works or how I ever discovered it but it does the trick

I have a 32" Magnavox that does the same exact thing. Today it took 3 cycles (off, wait, on) to get the tv to stay on. Please help. thanks...

I have a sony lcd tv when its on it picture and sound will periodically go off for about 30 seconds but the power stays on

My Hitachi television turns itself off. After sitting for a few minutes you can hear a click in the set. Sometimes it will come right back on and other times it will take longer. What could be wrong?.

I have a 55" Hitachi Ultra Vision TV. All of the sudden the screen took on a weird shape and the picture is pincushioned with a one inch border of red on it. How can I fix this?

You're reading My Hitachi TV turns itself off after about 30 seconds. The standby light stays on but I have to switch off at power button, leave for 5 seconds and on again to get it on again. There are no weird sounds when it happens and remote is OK. Any ideas?
