If you want, but make sure you can put at least 3 weapon proficiency points into it if you do. I slice'n'diced my way through a first playthrough as a dual-wielding kensai. Kensais are an I WIN button anyway, but with 3 points of dual-wield and Celestial Fury in your main hand, then you're unstoppable with a half-decent party.
