Depends on where you're at & the cost. I myself built my own, back many years ago. Even tho I do have a tank in line with it to keep a bigger supply of water on hand. But if I want I can alway close the value to it & just run the water in the lines. I made a large trench around the place & place the lines a foot apart. It kind of looked like a picket fence five feet tall & four foot below ground level. Then filled in around it with sand to keep the heat. And dirt on the top to cape it off. Saves a lot on the elect: bill......I don't think I would have it tho, if it was not that I built it myself. For the cost of having someone else build something like this would of made me fall over backwards today.........Just do your math first. And good luck.............M.C.S.

hummm well looks like I need to look into this a little more. I didnt know there was anything to build I thought you just had to install it where you would usually keep the hot water tank. Thanks for your info.

yes and its instant hot water theyre expensive but well worth it, it pays for itself because it only turns on when you use the hot water instead of the traditional water heater constantly using gas or electric to heat it up when not in use
