If someone gave you a yacht on a big trailer, parked it in your drive and said it's yours to keep and use, but not to sell. Would you be happy?

No. Because I dont like boats. If it was a car, I would be very happy. Id be even happier if it were a Mustang. But, id tell them to get the boat out of my drive and take it to someone who wanted it. ~+~

No, I would be appreciative, but it would go to waste with me. I'm not exactly a boater...I'd rather have the money.

My driveway holds only two cars and I am not parking one car on the street to have a yacht that will hang out onto the road. I am only five minutes away from a river but I would have to pass.

If it had a sail on it, I'd keep it and enjoy it with my husband,. We've got 14 acres so there is no problem with storage or place it in long term storage for summer use at one of the nearby lakes. I grew up with a sailboat, as my parents had a 52' CT and I miss sailing on it. I'd love to go again, maybe even, if it was big enough, around the coasts or around the world...you did say BIG!

If I were in a position to use it, yes, but it's going to be an enormous outlay of money to fuel, clean, maintain, store and winterize such a craft. They'd be saddling you with what amounts to a house you can't afford to live in.

It sounds like a scam to have somewhere to park it, I'd pass on that unless I got the papers signed over in my name then i would sell it boats are too expensive to operate that is why they are called holes in the water you pour money into.

Forgetting for a moment that a boat big enough to be called a yacht needs a pretty friggin BIG trailer, and would not fit in my modest driveway, I'd say I would be happy if I could afford to fuel it. I might as well donate it...

A few people mentioned fuel. My British mental picture of a yacht has sails. Do most Americans picture a yacht as being a motor yacht?
