  • Yes, I once had a friend who was a real motormouth. After a while I just tuned it out and nodded or emitted a noncommital grunt in the appropriate places. I have never known anyone who could talk so much and say so little..she truly loved the sound of her own voice.

  • yeah my aunt is so bad when she phones that you can put the phone on the side while you hoover and run a bath and when you pick it back up she's still whittering away totally oblivious to the fact that you even went anywhere!! Theres nothing i can do about it - i'd change my number but she's family.... thank god we dont live close enough for her to pop in whenever she wants!!!
  • It is myself. One friend listened politely for years and then waited for a pause and said kindly: "do you know that you only talk and never listen." Ever since, I have been much better.
