  • Yeah, she was a little girl around 8 who also lived in Portsmouth. We don't look alike though, and I was a little disappointed
  • Yeah I went to school with 2 others. 1 was a grade lower and the other a grade higher. I was known as "Timber" to everyone, teachers and students alike.
  • Yes, and my ex-husband married her!
  • No. (hey you wanted an answer...)
  • No never. I imagine its fairly unlikely too, to be honest.
  • I never met her, but a porno movie showing at the downtown XXX theater in the late 70's, starred an 'actress' with my same name. It was spelled a little bit different - you know how creative those people are! They didn't change up the movie title though. It was the exact same name as a hot summer blockbuster playing at the drive-in theatre. I've still got the ad in my big-o box of useless memories that I look into about once a decade . . . Here's something else: Occasionally when I prepare a new online site profile, using KinKStar, I'm informed it's already been taken and to select another screen name. My guess is those people didn't pick it because it's the name of their cat, like me . . . Yeah, that's right! She answers to KinKy, but her full name is Kin K. Star, she's 14 years old. My "first, best ever girl." ** Edited November 11, 2006 to include this website I just found. It's called How Many Of Me, and this is the link: http://ww2.howmanyofme.com/ where you enter you name to see how many other people have it too. Strangely enough, my "real" name comes up with 2, so I guess that might mean the porno star of the 70's is still around . . .
  • I have never met a person with the same name as I . I had a job in the computer assembly field and my employer said they had someone with the same name that quit a month previous to my employment. Almost ten years and many jobs later, I was hired at another computer assembly company and they had a guy with the same name as me get terminated two weeks before I showed up. Odd.

  • Not only have I met someone with my name, but they too had a pair of sisters with the exact same names as my two. The coincidence of that was wierd but what was even rarer was the fact that the girls where named in the same order as me and my two siblings from the Eldest to the youngest. Sandra the eldest, Vivian and then Patricia. Go figure!

  • Yes. in high school, this person had the exact same name as mine, even the middle names were identical. if the principle called our name, to come to the office, we both appeared. We, unknowingly, banked at the same bank, later in life. our account number was almost identical. i had a three, he had an eight. i received his statements and vice versa. this all changed, when computers were installed. I use to receive his mail, he use to receive mine. i finally put a Sr. at the end of my name and this really helped to distinguish between the two of us.

This futher led to me getting a deeply personal letter from one of the girls in his class who wanted his advice on being bullied. I have only twice met in person someone called Grant - my firstname and never anyone with my whole name.

  • Yes. I had just been discharged from the Navy in Great Lakes IL and was at the VA medical center. They called and asked for "Mrs. Chmiel" (which was my maiden name). Of course, I went into the room thinking someone had just misread my record. No big deal. Then the nurse started asking me if I was still taking this medication and that and I explained that I haven't been on any medication at all. Come to find out, the women I had been talking to in the waiting area had my first and last name (my maiden, her married), With my first name being a very unique name also. She was about 70 years old at that time and this happened almost 20 years ago. I've always said if you give a child a unique name, they will be unique and unique things will happen to them and that's been very true in my life. :)

  • I would have to say is it someone you were willing to date or just a random person? I've met loads of people with my name, and calling them by there name feels weird when you say it. But if you're going to be dating someone with the same name, make sure if you go further in life that you use your middle names that way they know which one is being spoken to.
  • Yes, it's funny my sister in-lam and I have the same first name, and the other sister in-law, mother in-law and I have the same middle name!

  • I can quite honestly state that I have never met anyone with my name. And I would be willing to put money on never meeting someone with my name, outside of a contrived setup in which someone who actually made the bet with me hunted down the few people in the world with my name and forced us to meet.
  • Yes, and it gets old really quick. I have the same name as a very famous sports star and when I introduce myself, I almost always get, "Yeah, right." He's long retired but even the younger fans have heard of him. I've even had someone from the front office of a major team franchise call me up and ask if I'd like play in an "old-timers" game. I very patiently explained to him that I had the same name but I wasn't that guy. When I interact with the police at any time and they ask my name, I get treated like a smart ass until I pull out my ID. All in all, it's a pain. Although, I did meet him and have a personalized autograph from him... "To xxxxxx xxxx From xxxxxx xxx" It's framed and hanging in my living room. So I guess there's good and bad to everything. Also I went to summer camp with a guy named "Richard Nixon" and one of my high school mates was "John Doe". John once got pulled over for a rolling stop and the cop almost arrested him for telling his name... until the ID came out. Hope this helps.
