Yes- i heard a funny story about that. He wears caps on his teeth for his pirate role. During production of the first POC He would walk into say a store and all these people would look at him like he's nuts. thankfully they come off!!!

he has the gold ones put on permanetly though but might take them off when he is fed up off them

Yes, He just turned up with them one day on the Pirates set, however,Gore Verbinski didnt think they were right for the part so he had 2 taken out. But yeah he still wears them. They're bonded to his teeth and they're gold plated. He says he wont keep them after pirates has wrapped.
