kbps means kilobits per second and GB is gigabytes. 1 GB is 1000 MB for mp3 players and the two are not related. kbps is a unit for data transfer like an internet speed or a speed it takes to copy a file from one place to another. GB is a measure of capcity to hold data. mp3 players never say anything about kbps because its not related. Most music devices today use either USB 2.O or firewire which has a transfer capacity MUCH larger than 32kbps. Depending on how many songs you want your mp3 player to hold choose an appropriate capacity. Usually it will say on the box approxiamtely how many songs it can hold.
