Because that phrase was coined by some drunk guy at a bar who really wanted to sleep with some chick who wouldn't sleep with him. She had a tattoo there and he gave it that name. You know how it goes, the chick that won't have sex with a random guy is a tramp or slut. Go figure.

Because that name is a falsity. I have one there and I am not a tramp. And I don't know anyone who has one there that is one.

Not everyone knows that those tattoos are referred to as 'tramp stamps'.

In my opinion, it's just a slang term, like any other, and doesn't mean anything.

Because they don't accept that judgment of that tattoo and they know that they're not tramps.

They don't know that and they are trying to place them where they can show them when appropriate and cover them when they want to.

    It's a fad.

It's just one of the more permanent ones.

What's going to be bad is all the grandkids who are going to catch a glimpse of those things on the grandmothers at the beach or something.

Some people are proud of being tramps. I guess:| I have never liked tattoos, but who am I to make any assumptions of anyone because they have a tattoo.

However, tramp would not be the right word:

    TRAMP: DICTIONARY DEFINITION:

    A heavy footfall.
The sound produced by heavy walking or marching.
    A walking trip; a hike.
One who travels aimlessly about on foot, doing odd jobs or begging for a living; a vagrant.

    A prostitute.
    A person regarded as promiscuous.
    Nautical A tramp steamer.
A metal plate attached to the sole of a shoe for protection, as when spading ground

So, if girls have a tattoo, they are a prostitute and if men have tattoos, they are a heavy football?
