Help answer this question below.
Yes the United States had blatently whacked Canada in a very big way. On the eve of the 2003 invasion of Iraq president Bush said in a news conference said" if you are not with us you are against us" this threat was a threat for all western countries that opposed the invasion on grounds that the attack on Iraq was not sanctioned by the UN. Soon after an american farmer living in Fairview Alberta mysteriously had a cow tested for Mad Cow disease, thus closing the the american and global markets for canadian beef. This pusishment was to last a for months if not a year, while canadian beef ranchers were to suffer along with american canadian relations.
No,for the natural resources like water, minerals, oil, and other things are located in Canada,so riling up Canada is not a good idea.
I love the way you phrased that question. Free trade, water and all that. Did you watch Trogan Horse?
nonw that i knowof, but seriously, that would be the dumbest move on our part. [yes we've pissed off the rest of the world, let's piss off the ppl who actually like us now]
Not for a long time. Planning anything?
Other than some ruckus in the Far North about who owns what causing Canada to transplant First Nations peoples to new settlements, and many fishing disagreements, I don't know of any reason for the USA and Canada to argue.
Just Alberta...they got all the oil. ;p
I am an Canadian and if the americans were ever to attack there probably be very little to fight as the border is not protected, i have been to places where the border is a river with no people, and no patrols along the border, just bush for hundreds of kilometers in all directions, if you didn't have a map you wouldn't even know there was a border there. If anything our mosquitos would drive them back.
i never knew about the plan in the 50's.....? what was that all about......i'm a cnn addict and i have not heard anything about an attack on canada~i'll keep ya posted kanuck......if i hear anything i'll let ya know.....hahaha j/k
surely the u.s. wouldn't seriously consider it~ever!

The president of the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) said that the problem originated in Ohio.
But Pataki blamed Canada.
New York state Governor George Pataki blamed the power outage on Canada, stating "the New York independent systems operator says they are virtually certain it had nothing to do in New York state. And they believe it occurred west of Ontario, cascaded from there into Ontario, Canada, and through the northeast.[3] This was later proven to be false.
