Help answer this question below.

How come Americans hate Canadians soo much. I Mean seriously you guys are hated by everyone.. You cant even go into cuba :P ,well u can it takes a while though. And pretty much everyone likes us except for you guys.. Wuts the deal.. try to explain..:/

    You make a very large and extremely inaccurate generalization, as I imagine the bulk of answers you receive on this will prove. I've never known a fellow American who expressed any antipathy for Canadians.

    I've got no problem with Canadians. I've been up there for several horse shows and made friends with several folks up there.

    Me thinks you believe the media too much on all counts. We don't hate you, and not everyone hates us, except for the media, of course. They despise us, even those in our own country. They also think we are all blithering idiots that can be kept quiet and pacified if they just feed us enough Brangelina and TomKat.

    I guess that is why some of us are on here.

    There's no explaining. You are listening to the wrong ppl. American ppl are loving, generous and caring to all walks of life. Don't believe everything you hear. Come to America yourself and then you can judge. I believe everyone is the same in one way or the other in all walks of life.

    I don't know any Americans who hate Canadians, and some of the coolest, funniest people I have ever met were Canadians. I think your making a broad generalization based one or two bad experiences with idiots who don't represent all Americans.

    I like the fact Canadians aren't running through the borders illegally then shooting out many kids they can't afford at US taxpayers expense. So for that I love Canadians! :)

    Its the same all over. Australians laugh at new zealanders, they laugh at us. England and Scotland continually pay out on each other and all of Europe hate the French. every one is friendly (and not so friendly competition) with their neighbours. its not that big a deal.

    Who said we hate Canadians? I love your bacon and your maple syrup and your accent always gives me a chuckle...but seriously who said we don't like Canadians? I've never been there but I would love to go and visit and of course meet the locals. I have no grudge against any race.

    I think it's a stigma that s been put into peoples head, I am american and I have never met any one here who doesn't like canada. When people talk about canada its usualy about the scenery and such. No, i think its wrong. Buy my dad did travel through there once, here was on his way to cuba by the way, and yes he is american. Any way, there was a canadian man who treated him badly at a resturant and stole money off hid debit card. He didn't like americans obviously. So the hate is out there.

    But seriously, I think if there were that much of a sibling rivalry (we do share a huge part of the earth together), you'd hear about it and I haven't heard this. Maybe YOU are the one with a grudge against the US ?

    I'm an American. . . . . .and I DON'T "hate" Canadians! Not even a little bit! And I don't know anyone in the United States that DOES! Frankly. . . .I've had a LOT of Canadian friends; even a doctor of mine was Canadian (living in the United States)! And Canada has GOT to have some of the most incomparable beautiful country I've ever seen; Lake Louise, for instance! No! Not me! I really LIKE Canadians! Seriously!

    Brother, do you want to know which country we Americans hate? China. We hate China. Not the Chinese, but the Chinese government. You know why we hate China? Because they're big and powerful and dangerous, that's why. We don't hate Canada. We can't be bothered to hate Canada. There's nothing to hate about Canada. You guys are just our neighbors to the north. I very seriously doubt there is even one American who genuinely hates Canadians.

    And yeah, Americans make fun of Canadians. (For example, I call Canada 'Cannukistan.') But we also make fun of Mexicans, Brits, Irish, Scots, Swedes, Germans, Swiss, Poles, French, Italians, Saudis, Russians, Australians and - let's not forget our best friends out in the Orient - the Chinese. We make fun of everyone! And please, let's not have any non-American step forward and say solemnly, "I am a [Brit, Aussie, Swede, whatever] and I can attest that we do not make fun of anybody." Bullshit! We all do. That's part of the fun of belonging to an international community where everybody basically finds everybody else really annoying.

    In any case, Patmann, my dear Canadian brother, let's not have any more about hatred, eh? We don't hate you. We're just insecure because your hockey players are better. ;-)

    P.S. - I forgot to mention that apart from the Chinese, do you know who else Americans hate? Other Americans. That's right. I live near Boston, and around here we have a constant influx of Italians to the local universities and hospitals and so forth. Nothing makes my hair stand on end faster than watching some snot-nosed, jelly-bodied fellow American apologizing to a foreigner for... Americans. But we do it all the time. We love letting foreign citizens know how ashamed we are of our country. Personally, if I visited Mexico and a native began apologizing profusely for all things Mexican, I would gently put my hand on his shoulder and encourage him to treat himself with some respect.

    I'm American and I looooove Canadians. Most Canadians are so polite and are genuinely good people. The best man I ever knew personally was Canadian. :P

    Don't pay attention to whether or not most Americans like Canadians. Most Americans are fucking retarded, I'm not joking either. This is my own country and I am so ashamed to have been born here. Wish I were Canadian. :(

    Great. So the sole reason we're supposed to like Canada is because everyone else hates us? I would also like to point out that we don't hate you (well, we actually don't think about you that much day-to-day, but still) I honestly feel like Canada spends more time thinking (negatively) about us than we do about them. However, that might be media too. I feel like a lot of it is.

    On another note, we can't go into Cuba because we (the USA) have an embargo on them. They don't have a problem with us...we just have standards.

    I have been to Canada many times and tossed out of several bars for the horrible crime of being a US soldier. Every time the fight was started by some tolerant Canadian when they learned my profession. All though the majority of Canadian women I met were very accommodating.

    Americans are generally hated through out the rest of the world. I have seen it I have suffered it. I lived in Canada for 7 years and know how great they are! Wish I could still afford to live there.

    If Americans don't believe they are hated and Canadians loved why is there a kit available with Canadian flag pins and patches and other Canadian information to make Americans "look and sound" like Canadians when traveling in Europe and the UK. Europeans saw right through the rouse because Americans can't help being asses when visiting other countries. Americans talk down to and expect locals to kiss their American asses for coming to visit in their country.

    The reason for this is because Americans are brainwashed into believing they are the only ones in the world worth a shit...guess what? American shit stinks too!

    Some Americans do tease Canada. But, there is no hatred involved. Why would we hate Canada? I can't think of one good reason. Besides, the rock band Rush is from there. And, Mike Myers. And Kevin Smith. And AB's own AnonymousGirl. Nothing to hate about Canada.

    I like Canadians. I think the accent is adorable. Sounds pretty much the same as ours, but there's just a few words out of place.

    If I can say anything it's that Canadians are liked a lot more than hispanic individuals are in this country and even better than middle eastern individuals. But I think overall we're good and accommodating, otherwise people wouldn't be trying to make a life for them self here.
