  • To answer your specific question you would have to convince a court of law that you are capable of taking care of yourself financially, emotionallly, and physically. You also have to have a good reason for emancipation. I don't think wanting to go play house with your girlfriend is going to impress them. Maybe if you started paying all of your own expenses, cooked for yourself, basically doing everything for yourself that you would have to do if you lived on your own then you could get emancipated. Because you can rely on your girlfriend to take care of you. What happens if you break up two weeks after you move out there?

How long have you been thinking about this? How many happy and successful people have taken this route? Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Have you dated much? So many reasons NOT to even go there...

If she's getting free housing for school she won't be if you move in with her so you have to ponder all the other things that can go wrong if you play adults not just that were going to move in together & every things going to be simple it usually don't work like that. How long have you been dating? What would happen if you got emancipated as an adult & moved in with her & found out she was cheating or she decided it was more then what she bargained for & you 2 split up then where is that going to leave you because then you will have to pay for your own room & board if your parents don't want you back & get a job & pay for your own school, insurance, car payment(if you have one) medical , food, entainment(computer & internet) ect. Its not always fun & games being an adult, I'd just stick with dating for a couple of years until you graduate but thats me.
