I took a typing speed test and learned that I can type 33 words per minute. Is that slow, medium or fast for someone not a secretary or has never had formal typing instruction (I use the Hunt & Peck method)?

It looks like 33 words per minute is considered "average" for the Hunt & Peck method.

That's not bad for hunt & peck. I'd call it medium-fast. Of course, in comparison with someone who has learned touch-typing, it's not good. Personally, I type at about 70WPM.
