  • Nothing stopping you from doing both now. Corporate ladder climbing is done during the day, as musicians generally gig at night.
  • Go to school and get the degree under your belt. Then have fun pursuing a music career, and if it doesn't work out, you always have your education to fall back on.
  • Follow your heart, because that is what will matter in the end.
  • Get a degree then do what you enjoy most music in your case
  • You should follow your passion. Working on plan "B," school, is usually what most people will pursue while working on "A." however, what most people do is completely wrong. I'm too a musician, and after many years battling to get a degree, even though I'm an excellent student, I decided to go for my passion. When you pursue both plans, your life will go around what other have failed to realize: you can become a great professional on what you do. There are thousands of people making music and making big money. You don't have to be only a "rock star" to be a successful musician. To be a producer is a big commitment and requires expertise and knowledge most people would be just unprepared to learn. NEVER EVER pursue 2 plans; that's the big human mistake.
