since I work in and around the cemetery prefession, wear the suit, you need to look as prefessional as possible, wear black suit if possible, white shirt, calm looking tie, be sure your shoes and socks and belt all match.
be sure and bring your resume with you and after the interview, be sure and send a thank you letter back to them, this is the proper order of this to do
if you really want this job and do no hear from them in a week or so, then check back with them
just so they know you are still interested

well, do they creamate them with the clothes they were wearing at the time of death????
Avatar Sheriff Raff -Answerhag Apr, 06 2008 at 05:32 PM
i would think so. some bodies don't get prepared for viewing because of circumstances of death or the expense to make a corpse presentable... or just some people like to rememeber their loved one alive and not dead lying in an open box. even if there was no presentation, I think the body would be wrapped in some type of cloth or garment prior to being put in the heavy duty box or coffin before it goes into the furnace.

that would be correct for the viewing, but once they chuck em into the fiery pit, they would be nude, i'm assuming!!!

Dress well, and my only other advice would be to inject some life into your interview

My father in law is in this business and knowing him and his associates I would suggest the full suit & tie. If the worst thing they've got to say about you is that you were overdressed- all the better! Good luck!

It's better to be "over-dressed" than not up to standards. If you get the job, then the dress code for business will be explained to you. Best wishes on the interview.

Wear the same thing you'd wear if it wasn't at a crematorium.

If there's any doubt, wear a suit. In general, wear one level better clothing than they do. I dunno what they wear there, though...

Probably suited and booted would be their expectations.
