If I get a speeding ticket, plus another citation in another state, and I don't appear in court, what will happen?

A bench warrant will be issued and up to including a suspension until the tickets are cleared, not to mention another ticket if stopped for driving with a suspended license which equals handcuffs, which equals bail money and reinstatement fees. So in the long run pay your tickets it is far cheaper and less time consuming. What really is embarrassing is being arrested for something foolish when you are on a first date with a beautiful girl.

Didn't the patrol person in the other state give you an amount and address to send? And if you don't appear there is a good chance they will come and get you. If they do you will be very sorry. You may be able to call the Court also and send in $ instead of appearing. BUT, do this before you are scheduled to appear. Some places they also have a diversion program where you take a defensive driving course. You pay money and attend and the citation does not go on your record Signed: Paid some tickets.

That why cops look for out-of-state plates to pull over whether they were in violation or not. After they check the driver's I.D. and see how far away they live, the cops will issue tickets figuring these drivers will just send the money in rather than return from a long distance to fight it. They got you where the hairs are short!
