Everyone is different. my grandaughters was lowered and eventually terminated altogether. hope this happens to you. john
It really just depends on what you and your doctor think is best. I'm on seroquel, and it helps level me out. I hate lithium, though. Ask your doctor what he/she thinks, and tell them how you feel about it.
i'd have to say most likely eventually. i just finished taking it for 6 months starting out at 300 mg and finished as low as 25mg. i thought it helped stabilize my moods but sometimes it was frustrating
If differs from person to person, and your better off talking to your Dr.
Hi
I think for medical advices, you should consult your doctor for safe and reliable advice.
i have never taken lithium. i take lexapro and lamictal and have been for a few years. it seems to balance me out. i did get a sample of seoquel and told to pinch a piece off in order to help me sleep, which i did. seroquel really made me sleep too much and it worked quickly, like i took that small amount, a fingernail, a bit more but i cut it with my fingernail. i was out in less that 20 minutes and slept about 14 hours, very deeply. seroquel is an anti psychotic and it may not be for us bi polars, but it does work for sleep. i have heard of some sychophrenics taking it up to 800. the samples that i pinched off for sleep were 200s and that lasted me about 6 months though there were times i wanted to drown out my sorrows with sleep, i help back cause i knew i would be too out to get up in the morning. good luck. that is only one experience that is mine.
It depends, sometimes yes, sometimes no.
Oooo, I hope so. I HATED that stuff. Thankfully I'm no longer on it, so I suppose there's always hope, especially if you let your doctor know you don't want such a high dose.

Bi-polar used to be called manic-depressive. Can one state of being take over? Can someone become manic and get stuck there and flame out?

You're reading I am bipolar, I am taking seroquel and lithium for the moment. Will my seroquel doses be lowered?
