  • Yes! Call the police, and find out how to get a restraining order.

I sure hope that you do not have children; they might be in danger, too.

I would call that textbook stalking. Kick his ass - a restraining order won't help much.

Yes that is stalking. Let him get it out of his system, don't involve the police unless he has a violent side to him. You guys have just split up it sounds as though he is still in love with you and is finding things very difficult right now. Does he just follow you or does he try to speak to you? You need to talk to this guy, he desperately needs closure, just remember to be sensitive to his feelings but also stand firm.

You could say that, but contact your local police for better information. The laws vary from state to state.

In most towns yes. Get the friendly law enforcement officer to read him the riot act on stalking and trespassing. He might get the hint. Getting a big burly b/f is your next best bet.

It depends on whether you want him there. If you don't then I would definitely consider this a stalking situation. If you speak with your ex I would ask him "what is up with him following you?" If you are afraid then you should notify the police. That sounds very scary. Be careful! +6

Criminal Harassment - sometimes called "stalking"- is any form of harassment that causes the person being harassed to have a reasonable fear for his or her safety.

    Stalking includes:

repeated phone calls, phone messages, or emails that annoy or threaten the individual
    sending the individual unwanted things
following the individual, or his/her friends, family, or anyone else close to them
    taking the individual’s mail
showing up uninvited at work or home
trying to get private information about the individual from other people
    entering the individual’s home
    vandalism
    harming pets
    threats or assaults
    kidnapping, holding hostage
Stalking can escalate – at first it may be annoying and harassing, but it may become frightening and cause concern for personal safety.
