Yes! I read that book! GREAT!!! Did you read the Kite Runner(?) (book was better than the movie). There's another good book called, "Lovely Bones" (different author) - a meaningful work of art

I LOVED KITE RUNNER! 5+. I am scared to read Splendid Suns, because I expect to live a long time and I want to keep looking forward to it instead of have--what I know will be a pleasurable experience--behind me forever. Last book to make me teary: The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down by Anne Fadiman.
