I would say he'll let you know when he's hungry, but ask his Dr.

You are so lucky! Our son is 3 wks and eats every 2 hours start to start at night. As long as he is making 6-10 wet and 4-10 dirty diapers a day he is getting enough to eat. It might be worth a call to your pediatrician to verify though.

Wow! That is incredible. I have no frame of reference for this, because my nursing baby was up constantly! I would count my blessings and enjoy the sleep, if I were you, but I would ask your pediatrician, just to be safe.

For the first few weeks my daughter slept alot, after that though man o man, she was up constantly wanting to eat. Consider yourself lucky! I wound up putting her bassinet next to my bed so I didn't have to keep getting up!

Talk to your ped about "on demand" feeding. THERE IS NO PROBLEM. Baby's aren't psychopaths. They are natural humans. They don't gorge on chips and beer when they aren't hungry and they don't starve themselves to get attention or for any other reason. http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/8148/bbcuefeeding.html

My baby starting sleeping through the night when she was one week old! I was worried at first & up for half night thinking something was wrong with her & my partner wouldnt let me wake her to check to make sure. But now that i know she is still breathing & everything is fine we count our blessings that we got a good one & sleep well as well. She is now 3 months old & sleeps at night from around 9.30pm right through to around 7am after that feed she will straight back to sleep & wont wake up until 12 then she is awake most of the afternoon with a few 10 minute cat naps feeds around 4.30pm & again at 8.30 where she is then awake until 9.30 & we start again
