No, for it has been proven that circumcision of new born baby boys is healthy and not just Biblical, though the Bible should be enough to validate anything, assuming you know what applies and what doesn't and why.

Call me conformist if you will...yes.

I have answered a similiar question before and got down rated bad, and some nasty comments to go along. But yes I did circunsize and would do it all over again. I do not think it is becoming less of a trend, I think most parents are choosing to do it, so not much has changed.

i will never let someone cut my innocent childs penis for stupid religious and science beliefs

I didn't check to see if it was trendy when we decided to have both our sons snipped. I also had it done when I was a baby. It hurt so bad I didn't walk for a year. :)

Between 1950 and 1980, damn near every white boy born in a USA maternity ward was clipped 1-3 days after being born. Often the hospital would not bother obtaining the mother's permission. Uncut boys were mostly poor, rural, black, Latino, or had immigrant parents. Since 1980, routine infant circ has become controversial in some circles, and is never performed unless the parents request it. So the fraction of boys left uncut has risen to 45%. The USA is the only advanced nation that cuts off healthy foreskins soon after birth, for reasons having nothing to do with religion. (South Korea cuts them off around puberty.) Other English speaking countries used to circumcise infants, but have all mostly given it up.

As a European I cannot understand why anyone would want to be circumcised or have it done to children. A foreskin helps to protect the tip of the penis. Many also believe that uncircumcumcised men experience more intense orgasms than those who have been circumcised.

My last kid now 18 had his done on his first day... I had mine when I was 19.... I would prefer that mine was when I born too.
-
Both of my new born males were circumcised the day after birth. As were both of THEIR new born males. ps-it is an elective procedure--you do not "allow" it to be done.

Yep, you bet I will. I have no remorse my parents decided to have me circumcised as well. Heck, if I wasn't, I'd be so OVERLY sensitive that any measurable length of time I'd be able to have intercourse would undoubtedly be under ONE MINUTE! I'm not marred, scarred, dysfunctional, or have any lingering unknown "post-traumatic" type syndrome due to the circumcision. Not ONE girl I've been with has preferred uncircumcised over circumcize penises. And as I'm fully aware of how the one unfortunate member of our football team in Jr. High/High School who was NOT circumcised beared a MASSIVE amount of ridicule and brunt of "Anteater Peter" jokes, there is no way in Hades that I'd subject my son to that type of derision & tortuous treatment by his peers. So to all the NaySayers: Be realistic here; stop droning on about circumcision as "Sexual Mutilation" - your windbagged preaching is quite transparent, making obvious your motive to be "Holier Than Thou".
