A couple of days, the rules and signs a bit longer

8-26-2017 My first lesson was in a water truck, fully loaded with 3,000 gallons. Dad sent me across the desert, no paved roads. He followed in a pickup, and scolded me afterward because I went through a wash too fast. Dad was very clever, but awfully dum sometimes.

Hard to say, I started driving farm tractors around 8 or 9. Pick-up trucks (some I had to double clutch) around 12 or before. took my tests and received my license at 14 because I was a farm kid and had to drive cotton to the gin on highways.
