How often do people who don't want kids face criticism/discrimination? I'm childfree and faced it alot, mostly from the net.

I know it is quite often, but it is disrespectful people have the choice to have kids or not so that must be respected and accepted. It is a sign of responsibility. Regards.

People inquire as to why I don't have children, and I say because "I have never been married".. That shocks the majority of people today. But, personally, I have just never chosen that path for my life.

You've spoken with the wrong people. For me it has been amazing seeing something I helped create become an amazing, intelligent young woman with everything going for her. If I had it to do again I would, but that is what I chose and lived. We don't all see it that way and what each person chooses for themselves is fine by me. Not everyone sees benefit in having children for whatever reason. It is up to each person to chose what is right for them. Live and let live.

I think that if a family decides not to have children then it's what is best. Why have children if that is not your desire. There is nothing wrong with not having kids. I salute any couple that has the courage to "just say no".
