That answers the question, the freeze plugs probably can't be acessed by us. We have changed the water pump and the radiator fluid is still leaking out. There is not any oil mixed with it so we don't thinks it a cracked engine block. The hoses weren't wet and we don't know what else could be the problem.
They are basically just hammered in with a mallet, so if the one you are putting in is in a spot where you could swing a mallet without lifting the engine out, then I guess you could. There are also rubber replacements sometimes available for plugs in the places that are hard to access. If you found which one is leaking and it's not in a very tight spot, AND you managed to get it out, I guess you could put a new one in ;)

My brother has a Lada Rive 1.5e estate, it has a Fiat 2ltr engine, a 5sp Lada manual gearbox and a 3.9 Lada diff. Can a 3.5 diff be fitted, if Lada make one, if not what make of car will fit?
