I heard that if you put salt or parsley in a bag that you can still be charged with intent to sell. Is this true, and what kind of sentence would you get?

If you say that you are selling salt or parsley, then I don't see any legal dangers from that other than those that might arise from selling merchandise or food without whatever license might be required in your area. However, if you claim that they are something other than parsley or salt, then, as Darryl61 wrote, you are guilty of fraud. you can try to justify this all that you want. but what you are attempting to do is profit from the gullibility of others. This is not honorable behavior and is illegal. I don't know what kind of a sentence you might get for this. I expect that the sentence varies with the jurisdiction in which you are prosecuted.

If you intentionally misrepresent something in an attempt to obtain money from somebody, that is fraud and would be against the law. The stupidity or naivete of the victim is irrelevant

yes........you can still get busted for selling fake drugs........it is true.....in most cases, it is considered a misdemeanor, but you still may have to serve some time in jail......police are looking to invest more time in catching dealer's with actual drugs with intent to deliver....but, i would be more worried about the person you sold fake drugs to......if they find you, you may not live to regret it.....take care....brian......

No. You get charged with look-alike. Friend in Illinois got 4 years, selling herbal pills as ex. He made a lot of money off the real, and the fake, before he left...

yes you can get in trouble for that if you make it appear to be a drug but the charges after you go to court will probably be reduced or dropped but you will get arrested

If its for reasale, in Tennessee, its fraud.

    Counterfeit drugs.

Punishment is dependant on the scheme or money amount of the fake drugs involved.

Knew a guy that sold an undercover cop fake acid about 20yrs ago.
The funny thing is, is HE got ripped off and he thought it was real.
The judge gave him time because even though it was fake he thought it was real so he intended to sell the real thing.
