Question

Help answer this question below.

I workout two major muscles (triceps and chest, biceps and shoulders) per day. I do three exercises per muscle but how many sets should I be doing per exercise and how many reps? My goal is to tone my body so it looks cut.

You seem to have a pretty good plan as it is. As far as reps and sets go you can do this:

If you are going for tone try doing HIGH reps with lower weights. You can choose a weight that you can do, say.. 20 reps of. Then you can do the usual 3 sets.

If you want to bulk up think LOWER reps with HIGH weights. You should choose a weight that you can ONLY do 8-10 reps with. Then you can do the usual 3 sets.

I've worked out using both ways and I've gotten different results using the two different techniques. They definitely work!
