Help answer this question below.

I just received my Bachelors in Psychology. I want to pursue a Master's and eventually my Doctorate. However, getting work experience is tough w/ just my Bachelors! Any advice about how to get the experience I need to put on my graduate school resume?

    As professors at your school department if they have any contacts for potential positions. They have been in the field a long time and know lots of people, and so they will know who wants to hire someone like you, and plus they will help you get the position! They might have friends with private practices or working at hospitals who they could call and ask if they need a bright student to work for them .

    Try applying to assist the research of someone in your field. Labs are often looking for assistants with just a bachelors, and research is always good on a resume. You could start by looking at your school's department, since you already know those people, and then try applying to other schools in your area. Just look on their psychology department website, see who in their department is actively publishing research papers, and then send them an email with a CV attached saying that you would like a job as a research assistant.

    Another line of work might be as a teaching assistant. The same as what I said for research would apply to this.

    Finally, my advice is to apply for as many positions as possible. You don't want to be empty-handed and unemployed for a year!!!
