I agree with m1tk44. I think it's perfectly healthy and acceptable for people to have sex until they're incapable of doing so any longer. We had this discussion in my Sociology of the Family class the other day. As you age, your sex drive doesn't necessarily drop. The reason people tend to have less sex as they get older is, in my opinion, a combination of body image issues, lack of confidence, death of a partner, and social conformity. Older people aren't "supposed" to have sex...Their equipment isn't "supposed" to function like it used to. I think a lot of that is mental. In fact, it's been proven that a lot of it is mental. So, old people out there...Keep on doin' what you're doin'. :) I'm on your side, lmao.

For those involved in the act it probably is never disgusting but my mother told me just last week that her and my father had sex for the first time in years. He's 71 and she is 69. Good for them. but the mental picture that was burned into my brain is going to take some time to disperse. I really didn't need that mental image real or imagined.

Where does it specify that an elderly couple has to quit having sex at a certain age? There are men, at the age of seventy, that have fathered children. Who says sex is just for young people? You will be older one day and understand this answer.

I don't think that anyone should ever stop having sex so long as they are still attracted to the person that they are with. I don't know anyone in their right mind that would give up on having sex just because they are "old".

str8man your story made me think back a few yr when my grand mother told me " Honey your grandpa just doesn't seem to be able to do it any more, and i still need to do it" I about fell out of my chair cause here was a 70 something granny telling me this. she was just so point blank about it and it just came out of the blue as for what age, none as long as people are able go for it
