if he is having his wages garnished and you sill didnt recieve it, it is likely that he is either not working or he is and its not his fault you didnt recieve it. contact your local child support office and they will send a letter to him and his employer and he will have 10 days to reply to the letter and tell them whats going on. if both him and his employer verify that he is still working for them, then either his workplace or child support screwed you over. if it is child supports fault you will likely never see the lost money and they will add it onto what he owes you, not really fair to either of you because you dont get your money and he has to pay it twice. my wife has dealt with child support long enough that we know they are a bunch of un0organized idiots, we have seen paychecks from her ex showing money they had taken out of his paycheck yet we still didnt get the money and child support just constantly give us the run around with no straight answers. infact my wife got more child support when he was handing it to her directly even when he missed weeks at a time. if it is him just not paying they will gve him acertain amount of time to start paying andif he doesnt they can take steps like having him taken to court or suspending his driving license, i beieve eventually he can even go to jail over it but thats not until he owes you thousands and thousands in backpay.

There is really no easy answer to this question. There are so many variables. Is he still working? Does he get paid cash? The best way to make sure he pays consistently is call the Department of Revenue, Child Support Enforcement division. Once you open a case with them, they will keep track of payments, money he owes, etc. They will also if necessary go to court with you, free! They can also fine his employer for not following a court order to garnish his wages. As well as seizing his tax refunds, any lottery winnings, etc. to pay for support he owes. Some states have a very bad reputation for child support enforcement, but you are your own best advocate. Learn what YOUR rights are and what the laws are in your state. Good Luck!!
