Would it be difficult for someone who has played Piano for 10 years and Guitar for 8 years to learn to play the Cello?

Not at all infact it would make it easier because you know a lot about music theory and notes...it won't be difficult no. I play the violin and piano but it doesn't change anything. Hope it goes well!

It should be fairly easy actually you would get the fingering very quickly and the guitar-cello transition is a pretty nice one, I know many people who had a fairly easy time converting even without the piano experience. And to the extent of all those years it should be a good transition. You will still have to adjust to the differences in the positioning and bowing, but it shouldn't be too hard for you.
