While driving down the road, sometimes the 4WD lights blink on/off, and will engage by itself. Any idea what would cause this?

You're reading My 1995 Ford Explorer is idling rough. It just turned 100,000 miles and I changed the air filter, fuel filter, spark plugs and wires, PCV valve, and tensioner pulley. What next?

Great to know, I have a 97 Exploder and have had the same problems.. Thats OK, Ford knows the problem.. they even circle it for us. See their logo.
