How did the US government figure out that bin Laden was behind the September 11th attacks so quickly?

We(top leaders only) knew it was going to happen, just not 100% sure when.

History (al-Qaeda had attacked on U.S. soil before, namely the World Trade Center bombing of '93), and the FBI going through a four-hour long investigative process of the hijackers themselves. They linked the names of the hijackers to al-Qaeda. The media was mostly responsible for pointing out that it was probably bin Laden's work, however.

They found a fluttering note in the air at Ground Zero that said, "I did it. Feel free to bomb the world at will, as I belong to no country and will just keep bouncing around like a flea from dog to dog."

We knew who it was and that it would happen before it happened. We just did nothing about it. and by 'we' I mean our Commander in Chief, the one who is in charge of our military, you know, the band of brave men and women who could have stopped it...

GWB was fully aware of the threat & did nothing about it until it happened. They knew where Bin Laden was before the attack, what he planned to do but did nothing to stop the danger that loomed. GBW is just as guilty for not taking the threat against his country seriously. Is it January yet???

There is actually no firm evidence that Bin Laden committed the September 11th attacks. He just sent a video that said "I did it." For all we know, it could've just been some crazy-ass guys from another terrorist group, which group was smart enough NOT to lay claim to the attacks.

It was all a setup. Bin Laden was created by the CIA. A pure puppet for the service of terrorism. My 2 cents.
