Help answer this question below.
I can function with 3 hours of sleep anything less and I’m liable to fall asleep standing up.
I can never function regardless. I could sleep forever.
I've only had about 5½ hours sleep the past two nights, and I'm probably going to get even less this night.. I'm a bit less focused, and probably more brooding, but otherwise I survive.. it isn't pleasant, though, even though 5hours is still a lot
I'm usually ok as long as I get about 3 or 4 hours sleep. But I wouldn't want to have to do to much mind work. lol
I have to function well, because I haven't slept 4 hours a night in years. Chronic insomnia ... yuck!
Oh Christ no. Nothing works for me when I miss a night of sleep. I get SO cranky, NOTHING seems worth anything, I can't eat or drink, not even a shower feels good, and say a whole night I didn't manage to sleep? I actually lose my balance while walking, and it's not fun at all, people think I'm on drugs. My eyes hurt like hell, usually it's accompanied by this killer headache and I can't concentrate on nothing. But this is pass the ''I'm so tired everything is funny stage'' which I can more or less function on, but I mentioned the white nights I get and how I'm so zombie-ish because they happen often enough. I also get all sweaty yet I freeze to death, I completely hate it.
Function very well on at least 5 hours sleep. New avatar, nice horse. Cyndi
I guess I don't do too well on too little sleep.
My computer screen starts to get blurry and I do strange things like double answering questions.
Yeah I'm getting pretty good at it.
I function very well at the time when I'd otherwise be sleeping, but I can only keep it up for twelve hours or so (without caffien) before I start crashing into things.
I have had only 2-3 hours of sleep on school nights for the last year. As for me, I function perfectly. I don't get mood swings, my marks are still the same, and I don't need energy drinks to keep me awake. :) In fact I feel like a zombie if I get MORE than 5 hours of sleep a night.
yeah i function pretty well ... i have insomnia. an i work nights. its kinda rough but i do well
Walking zombie with an attitude lol U dont want to be around me when I dont get a full nights rest lol I tend to be a bit of a beyotch:)
i havnt had one good nights sleep in 2 years i am up about 5 times a night. so when i do get up in the morning all i want to do is sleep all day which some days i do so now im on pro plus and 2 cans of red bull aday so at the moment im wizzing around.
I function on very little sleep, have never slept more then 3 - 4 hours a night and many nights I go with almost NO sleep.
I wish I could just get a 6 hr sleep without using a sleeping pill!!
I used to, but not in the past few years. When I get tired I can barely carry on a conversation.

I've had to do it so many times, i have become a pro. In the morning I am a little irritable but after i have been awake for awhile i will be good to go.
I function well on very little sleep. Especially if something important is required of me.
When I get very little sleep, I feel like I belong somewhere out in the Midwest by a lake. :)
If its a once in a while thing, I'm perfectly fine and its a normal day. If it gets to be like last semester where I'm running on 5 or 6 hours a night, I take naps every chance I get and zonk out during p-chem lectures.
I'm better on no sleep than with very little sleep.
I funtion surprisingly well, maybe even better (since I probably woke up naturally and not in the middle of deep sleep.) I once had a full day of school and a track meet on less than 5 hours, and it was okay, but I think that's the worst I've had.
I get grumpy.
Once I'm up. I'm up.
I don't function at all. I am virtually unable to work,
No, I do not function well, I'm not a walking zombie, I'm cranky, irritable and whiney.
No sleep and keeping busy and I'm a functioning zombie.
I cannot function when I had very little sleep. As you said I'm like a walking zombie. I function better if I've had no sleep at all because when I've had little sleep it's like my body is yearning from that rest that i need which I had a little taste of... It's like you got a bon bon from a chocolate box and you'd want to finish the whole box and if you're not able to it's like you get all cranky and all....
With no sleep the body doesn't seem to know what it's missing and you can function on pure adrenalin and all until that's all spent and you just drop.
The best of course is to get a full night's rest. Mind and body that are fully rested can function at its maximum potential.
I usually only get around 6 hours of sleep a night, and although I feel tired a lot of the time, I still function perfectly well (and my cognitive capabilities are fine as well :P).
I do well for the first few days, but much more than that and I start acting weird and not making alot of sense.
I can go with little sleep for a while, but it eventually catches me up and I will have to crash on my feet if not a bed. My normal sleep cylcle is six hours, unless it has been an especially gruelling day.
If I don't get 6 1/2 I'm crap the next day so sleep is crucial when I am on a regiment that demands a regular waking for monetary procurement activities. I've called sick a few times when I know I'm useless.
Hey, sometimes we just can't sleep.
I function pretty good, as soon as I step out of bed, I'm awake. It's really weird.
I had jet lag last year and my eyes would just close for a few seconds during the day. It's like I was daydreaming but I don't remember having closed my eyes.
Let me tell you what bad sleep does to me. It makes me fat. It makes me tired and hyper at the same time. It also makes me confused. So I'd have to say no to both. I do not function properly, but I wouldn't call myself a zombie. I have energy...just the negative kind.
i used to function well on about 11 hours a day... now i function, well, on about 0-9 answerbag makes me get a little less!
I function well on about 3 hours per day.
Usually I can function pretty well, until it all builds up with days and days of poor sleep.
I'm an architecture major, I don't sleep much at all, and usually it's from naps of no more than two hours because I do plenty of all nighters. But the funside about that is that I get to see alot of ice sunrises.

I can function well, I just yawn a lot.
I need at least 5 i get really grumpy and hungry when i'm tired.
I funtion pretty good with little or no sleep. Its actually the opposite. More sleep and I'm like a zombie. It's wierd!!!
I act very stupid when I'm tired. I sound drunk and I'm cranky. Not a good combination. Not to mention I run into things...
Well yesterday I only slept for 6 hours, and was pretty active, so I belive I can function properly.
I'm a grumpy zombie when I have had very little sleep.
Eh, fairly well - I'm more prone to dozing off and can be cranky if it's because I woke up too early, but not bad. If possible I do what needs to be done then take a nap asap.
I funcition well with no sleep. I probably go on around 3 hours of sleep evryday.
I function well, but towards the end of the day I will start feeling like I am out of it. I usually have to get a lot of sleep if I am going to be very busy the next day.
In my last job I only got between 3 and 4 hours sleep and I done very well on that. Now I get at least 7 hours and feel tired during the day.
