I can function with 3 hours of sleep anything less and I’m liable to fall asleep standing up.

I've only had about 5½ hours sleep the past two nights, and I'm probably going to get even less this night.. I'm a bit less focused, and probably more brooding, but otherwise I survive.. it isn't pleasant, though, even though 5hours is still a lot

I'm usually ok as long as I get about 3 or 4 hours sleep. But I wouldn't want to have to do to much mind work. lol

Oh Christ no. Nothing works for me when I miss a night of sleep. I get SO cranky, NOTHING seems worth anything, I can't eat or drink, not even a shower feels good, and say a whole night I didn't manage to sleep? I actually lose my balance while walking, and it's not fun at all, people think I'm on drugs. My eyes hurt like hell, usually it's accompanied by this killer headache and I can't concentrate on nothing. But this is pass the ''I'm so tired everything is funny stage'' which I can more or less function on, but I mentioned the white nights I get and how I'm so zombie-ish because they happen often enough. I also get all sweaty yet I freeze to death, I completely hate it.

I guess I don't do too well on too little sleep.
My computer screen starts to get blurry and I do strange things like double answering questions.

I have had only 2-3 hours of sleep on school nights for the last year. As for me, I function perfectly. I don't get mood swings, my marks are still the same, and I don't need energy drinks to keep me awake. :) In fact I feel like a zombie if I get MORE than 5 hours of sleep a night.

I function on very little sleep, have never slept more then 3 - 4 hours a night and many nights I go with almost NO sleep.

I wish I could just get a 6 hr sleep without using a sleeping pill!!

If its a once in a while thing, I'm perfectly fine and its a normal day. If it gets to be like last semester where I'm running on 5 or 6 hours a night, I take naps every chance I get and zonk out during p-chem lectures.

I funtion surprisingly well, maybe even better (since I probably woke up naturally and not in the middle of deep sleep.) I once had a full day of school and a track meet on less than 5 hours, and it was okay, but I think that's the worst I've had.

I cannot function when I had very little sleep. As you said I'm like a walking zombie. I function better if I've had no sleep at all because when I've had little sleep it's like my body is yearning from that rest that i need which I had a little taste of... It's like you got a bon bon from a chocolate box and you'd want to finish the whole box and if you're not able to it's like you get all cranky and all....

With no sleep the body doesn't seem to know what it's missing and you can function on pure adrenalin and all until that's all spent and you just drop.

The best of course is to get a full night's rest. Mind and body that are fully rested can function at its maximum potential.

I can go with little sleep for a while, but it eventually catches me up and I will have to crash on my feet if not a bed. My normal sleep cylcle is six hours, unless it has been an especially gruelling day.

If I don't get 6 1/2 I'm crap the next day so sleep is crucial when I am on a regiment that demands a regular waking for monetary procurement activities. I've called sick a few times when I know I'm useless.

I had jet lag last year and my eyes would just close for a few seconds during the day. It's like I was daydreaming but I don't remember having closed my eyes.

Let me tell you what bad sleep does to me. It makes me fat. It makes me tired and hyper at the same time. It also makes me confused. So I'd have to say no to both. I do not function properly, but I wouldn't call myself a zombie. I have energy...just the negative kind.

Eh, fairly well - I'm more prone to dozing off and can be cranky if it's because I woke up too early, but not bad. If possible I do what needs to be done then take a nap asap.
