Do Americans use the word "snog"?

No, I have never heard any American, myself included, use the word, "snog." Although it's known to mean to "kiss and cuddle."

Only when mocking the Brits. "Spot of tea and a snog for you, guvnah?! Cor blimey!" We do it with love, though.

No really. Some of my friends say it kus they saw it in Harry Potter XD. We use the term "making out." Is that more or less the same thing?

Only Canajuns who've watched Coronation Street have any idea the word exists - or what it might mean. Definitely not in our vocabulary list. Shame, really.

I think this is the first time I've ever heard about "snog." I'd venture to say that Americans don't say it as much as you think.

oh, geez. i remember my first semester in uni in the uk. some guy asked if he could snog me at a club and i threw my drink on him (i was pretty drunk)! i thought it meant f***!

O you mean like, snogging right? I remember that from the Harry Potter books. No we dont use that, its making out :). The closest word i think of when you say that is smog.
