Tennis techniques generally do not work in badminton. People use two hands for the tennis backhand swing because the racket is heavy. The badminton racket is light. Generating power from the backhand swing is also very different between the sports. This training video shows a proper badminton backhand swing and how to generate power

Yeah it is a bad thing. You're actually losing power by using two hands, and more importantly, balance. Try and develop a one handed backhand swing for badminton. It turns out to be much more accurate, which you will need, as you will rarely be able to fully clear on your backhand side.

So I use two hands on my backhand swing for Badminton. I play tennis so its just sort of natural. Is this a bad thing? What are the pros and cons?
