Has anyone actually married their highschool sweatheart/ is there really a such thing as forever when it comes to highschool relationships?

I know of one couple from HS that have, and either he cheats on her or they have an open relationship now. I think he just cheats tho. I can't see her agreeing to sharing him.

Didn't really have a high school sweetheart, but did have a college one at 20.....divorced 22 years later...but, yes it can happen, although not likely. Each of you has to put up with a lot to make it last. Life ain't the movies...good luck though...send me an invite to your 50th wedding anniversary:)

my aunt and uncle are in there 40s and started dating in there early teens

There are married couples who did date in high school.

I did marry my high school sweetheart. It lasted 14 wonderful years. We kind of "grew apart" and wanted different things out of life. It's been nearly 16 years since our divorce, and we are still friends.

My husband and I didn't go to school together because he was already out of school when I moved to the area and started high school. So I was 14 and he was almost 19. We met, dated with proper chaperoning, exchanged friendship rings when I was 16, engaged at 17 and married him when I was 18. We are still married happily 35 years long:-)

I knocked-up and married my high school sweetheart...but it didn't last.So I guess my answer is no most of the time it is not forever.

well guess what ladies and gents its happened. my best mate is off getting Married to his partner of 6 years they started when they were greade 8 in high school, sure they had fights but they were always together, there getting married in the fall of this year **yay for them**

Rare, very rare actually, but it happens. Also, when you say they "marry their highschool sweethearts" do you mean that they got married and stayed married or just ended up divorced?

I was engaged twice in highschool. I knew, for sure (both times) it was the real thing. As it turned out, I endedup marrying my best friend that I've known since 8th grade. He always liked me, I never saw him that way, but now we're the happiest couple. 6 years together, 11 years best friends!

my mom and dad were HSsweathearts, they have been married something like 35 years

Some do some don't. My aunt and uncle married at 16 and have been together ever since. They are still very happy! It's been a good 40 years at least.
