My CD-ROM is not working. The message says D: is not accessible the device is not ready. What's wrong?

    bonjie

    1)use a lens cleaner cd
    2)use any other original cd
    3)check any mark in device manager
    4)uninstall the driver and reboot the m/c
    5)reset the bios

    It can mean a lot of things, the most common is that it can't read the cd because it's corrupted or scratched. But it could be alomst anything from a bad driver to DMA issues.
