Yes: keep both feet firmly planted, and hold the weapon with both hands, outstretched arms, but not "locked". When the weapon recoils, it will tend to drive your arms upward, so you should allow that but damp the recoil. Oh, and don't shoot at the good guys.

An article in POLICE magazine several months ago indicated that most cops are in favor of citizens having guns. Cops are only concerned with criminals having guns, which they have whether legal or not.

I'm sure it depends upon which country those police officers live in. In the United Kingdom I'm sure that 100% of the Police are 100% in favour of strict gun control.

As a police officer, I know several others on both sides of the issue. Primary concerns of all, regardless of position, are concealed carry and properly identification and the obvious criminals and guns. New criminals could obtain guns legally without gun control, others have already displayed a lack of respect for the law and gun control laws don't matter to them. As already pointed out, we are concerned about criminals with guns, they are the ones that use them for bad things...

The Law Enforcement Alliance of America vehemently supports the right of the individual (law abiding, of course) to keep and bear arms. Nuff said.
