  • according to string, 11 so far, hope that help, then again its all hypothesis, we barely scrach the surface of the universe we live in.
  • And non-string theorists believe in 4 dimensions, 3 spatial and the 4th dimension is time.
  • Depends who you listen to. A minimum of 4 (three of space and one of time). Various other theories predict more including the very fashionable M-Theory which has 11. I seem to recall some earlier varieties of string theory had up in the 20s or even 30s but my memory is poor on this. 11 is pretty commonly held with at the mometn as M-Theory is so popular but as yet not experimentally verifiable (which is a big problem for string theorists, much as I think it is beautiful theory). EDIT: What these "higher" dimensions may represent is difficult to explain and I won't pretend to understand the mathematics behind it all as I am fairly out of the loop. They are possibly very small and sort of curled in on themsleves. Researching string theory would be a good place to start. :)
  • 10, according to this animation: http://www.tenthdimension.com/flash.php
  • Our universe has 3 spatial and 1 time dimension. According to the string theory there are 11, but you can only see them at subatomic levels (like you think a drawing is 2-d until you get small enough to see that graphite as thickness). Hope this helps :^)
