Now, here in the following answer I will list all the things the new party stands for… ….And as this discussion develops I will change parts of it to conform to what we agree it will stand for------We can change parts of these topics, and even add new topics that weren’t here originally so please understand, what is currently written as the new party’s platform isn’t set in stone in any way…..we can change it……so be sure to address ANY ISSUE you want….I want everyone’s feedback for this new party no matter what you opinion is!!!….. (so if you have any friends on AB you think would be able to contribute to this discussion, TELL THEM about this question and give them a link here . This will be a VERY lengthy answer, but please understand, you DO NOT have to read it before posting your own answer………..in fact it may be better if you submit an answer with your own ideas before-hand so you don’t forget them while reading this. . . I encourage all of you to bring up any issue that you consider important and then we can discuss it. . So here it is: …….the new party is called the “LIBERTY PARTY.” (technically, we could even change the name if we wish) The party is based upon our founding fathers and their political beliefs along with the constitution and “bill of rights.” . the following is the platform of the LIBERTY PARTY: . US MILITARY: ----- The budget of the US military needs to stay at the GDP percentage it currently is. You don’t maintain the best fighting force in the world by cutting spending for life-saving armor and new technology ………………As far as number of troops is concerned----all who come to enlist, let them (and they have to make it past basic training and such obviously)…..it is an all-volunteer army, and you don’t keep the military strong by turning away people who are willing to risk their lives to defend freedom. . THE DRAFT:-----No draft, plain and simple…….you decrease the quality of a military when you force people to serve who don’t want to serve. . BUISNESS:------The government has no reason to be sticking it’s nose into private business…….so if you start your own business and you make it a success and you make a lot of money….GOOD FOR YOU! You will be able to keep the money you earned and do with it what you want…………if you start a business and it doesn’t work and your business goes bankrupt, oh well……the government isn’t going to bail you out just because your business didn’t work……..In this free nation you not only have the freedom to succeed, but also the freedom to fail…………..this also includes other bailouts. The liberty party is against the US government bailing out homeowners in foreclosure or people in extreme debt……that was their own poor decision and they must live with the consequences….....(however, the current laws on the books that prevent monopolies and such will stay laws) . FARM SUBSIDIES:…….….the government shouldn’t be paying off farmers to make certain crops or to not make crops at all…………..this Especially applies to corn subsidies……government shouldn’t be paying farmers just to grow a food that will be used for a fuel that isn’t even economic (meaning it takes more energy to create that bio-fuel than it gives off)…….farmers should grow any crop they wish without being “bribed” by the government. . LIGHT BULB BAN:-----This applies to much more than just the incandescent light bulb ban but this is the only name I could think of for this topic…………the government has no business banning something that is completely safe and effective……..anything (not just light bulbs) that functions well and doesn’t pose any kind of illegal risk to the citizens shouldn’t be banned by the government.………..Such bans like this would be repealed if the Liberty Party was elected………it is NOT the job of the government to regulate and control every aspect of citizens lives. . PROPERTY TAX: ------ End the tax nation-wide………Our founding fathers would be severely disappointed to see the US government taxing the people on something that they own………if you own the land there is no way the government should be able to tax you for that……………..the property tax is damn near unconstitutional. . US HEALTH CARE: ------ according to the founding fathers and the constitution, the government can’t force you to use your money to provide for other citizens (not counting your children)…………the US health care system has been working for over 2 centuries…….the problems it faces now is due to the government trying to implement socialist policies on a free-market entity and that cannot work………..the Liberty party would repeal many of the BS regulations (such as the incredible amount of paperwork) so that the insurance companies and hospitals costs go down, translating to reduced cost on the citizens………and also putting the system completely in the peoples hands where literally it will self-manage itself to prevent from run-away costs………….people need to be responsible and take care of themselves instead of trying to make their neighbors take care of them. . ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION:-------- we build the fence, plain and simple……..provided here is a basic design for such a fence……. http://airbornecombatengineer.typepad.com/photos/immigration/borderfencedesign461ace.jpg It wouldn’t be any kind of half-rate chain-link fence…..it would really stop illegal immigrants……….prevents cars from ramming the fence, prevents people from climbing the fence…..it would have a maintained dirt road so patrol agents could easily monitor and pick up illegal immigrants……included with this would be a network of TV monitors along the fence that would aid border patrol in finding illegal immigrants trying to get over the fence………….this would also help to prevent the drugs and other illegal substances from flowing into the US………..please understand, this doesn’t mean we are closing down the border to Mexico…..we would gladly welcome legal immigrants with open arms……….. . AMNESTY: ----------no amnesty for the illegal immigrants currently in this country………by enforcing the laws we already have on the books, many illegal immigrants wouldn’t be able to find work and would simply leave by themselves…….we don’t need more laws, we simply need to enforce the current laws on the books……… . EDUCATION: ---------the Liberty Party believes to improve education you must teach children the real-life core classes………..so elementary children would work on the basics of such studies as math, science, English, arts, etc………in high school, all students would be required to take the following classes all 4 years of their education : English, Science, Math, Social studies (history), and PE………..the obvious reasons for the first four courses listed here is to prepare the student for college and all the skills he/she will need in the real world……PE is listed because that will teach students to get exercise and be healthy………along with these 5 core courses, all students will have to take at least one year of the following: Health, Personal Finance, World geography (this could fit in with social studies), and Home Economics……The Liberty Party also would push for the school year to be extended by several weeks, possibly by as much as a month. . ADDITIONAL “ELECTIVE” SCHOOL CLASSES: ------- optional classes that students can take during the periods when they aren’t working on the core classes are completely acceptable and we wish for students to take particular interest in an area they may like…..such as art or shop or any of many classes…….however, these elective classes CAN NOT take the place of the core classes…………….one of the elective classes that will not be available in government schools that are paid for with tax dollars is “alternatives lifestyles” classes or “politics” classes……….the reason for these classes to not be taught at public schools is that, #1, it is not the job of the government to tell a child how to live their life and #2 at that young age (even into high school) children don’t think for themselves but instead tend to just absorb the teachers beliefs (this is where politics comes in)………now, this doesn’t mean students won’t learn how the government works…..one of the social studies classes would include how the government functions (such as the separation of powers) but it would not get into political beliefs……….however, if colleges wish to have the 2 classes listed above, that is completely acceptable. (private schools are completely different, this applies to public school system and private schools are allowed to follow their own guidelines) . “SCHOOL VOUCHERS”------this is proposed legislation that would allow parents to put their children into approved private schools and receive the amount of tax money they paid into the government for public education back to help pay for their education into the private school…..please understand, the private schools would be ones that do teach real lessons and wouldn’t be some BS political school…………the Liberty Party would be in support of this bill……….just because a parent has to give their child an education doesn’t mean that they should be forced to use the government school. . GUN CONTROL:---------the Liberty Party is Anti-Gun control……….we believe in the constitution and it clearly states that the “right of the people to keep and bear arms SHALL NOT be infringed.”………If a person wishes to own a gun that is their right under the constitution and the government shouldn’t be able to stop you…….however, the current laws that make it illegal for certain people who were convicted of heinous crimes to not own guns would stay on books…..when they committed those crimes, they forfeited their right to own guns. . RIGHT TO CARRY CONCEALED WEAPONS: --------the Liberty Party also believes it is the right of a law-abiding citizen to be able to protect himself……right to carry concealed weapons by law-abiding citizens would be something the Liberty party make nation-wide. . GUN REGISTRATION:-----------4 simple words will suffice here….”No way in hell!”------ gun registration is simply a form of monitoring by the government and is only a step toward gun control…….your ownership of guns is your choice and is not the governments business. . HATE CRIME LAWS:--------the Liberty party believes that hate crime laws should be repealed…….they serve only to make justice unequal instead of equal. . IRAQ WAR:----------Stay in Iraq until the country is secure and the government can stand on it’s own……whether you agree with the reasons we went into Iraq or not is not a factor now……we are in Iraq, and because we are, it is our job to finish what we promised to the Iraqi people……..pulling out now would only serve to cause a genocide and would result in the slaughter of millions of innocent Iraqi’s………….not to mention, by allowing the new democratic Iraqi government to be able to stand on it’s own and govern the country, the Terrorists would loose yet another country that used to be a safe-haven and would stabilize the area. . AFGHANISTAN: --------- Unfortunately, due to the Iraq war, Afghanistan has been largely overlooked and the Liberty Party believes that more US forces need to be sent to Afghanistan……..this will aid in getting rid of the remaining terrorists and stabilize the area……..the increase in troops could be expected to be about 10,000 troops. . GAY MARRIAGE: --------- The Liberty party believes that much of this argument is being overlooked…….marriage is about much more than just two people who love each other…….The liberty party would be against gay marriage. . ABORTION: -----------The Liberty party believes that life does begin at conception……..personal responsibility is part of free life here and people simply shouldn’t be able end a “potential” life just because they didn’t expect it………….however, the Liberty party believes that there should be a few exceptions to not being allowed to have an abortion……..these exceptions include: rape, forced incest, a 100% chance of causing the mothers death, or the baby has been determined to have a deadly birth defect……….these would be exceptions because the choice of sex was no longer a choice and/or the pregnancy could kill the mother. . COOKING LAWS: ---------the recent laws that were made in certain states that prevents restaurants from cooking with trans-fats should be declared unconstitutional…….the Liberty party agrees that restaurants should have to have a certain standard of safety and cleanliness but there is a difference between guaranteeing the safety of the restaurants food and BS government control. . ILLEGAL MARIJUANA:--------The Liberty party is a supporter of keeping marijuana illegal…..although medical marijuana has some uses in needed medical situations, it is not, and should not be a legal drug for use by just anyone……..Other prescription medications are illegal to use except with the proper prescription and marijuana is no different. . SOCIAL SECURITY:--------The governments poor plan for social security is not only ineffective but is also costly……the government is using too much of it’s GDP to pay for social security because of the inequality of those who receive it to those who pay into it…..This is why the Liberty party believes that social security needs to be privatized…… while citizens would still pay a portion of their income (determined by the citizen) into “social security,” they would get a much larger return, would have more investment options, and this would help balance the federal budget. . TAX MONEY TO NATIVE AMERICANS: ---------In areas of the US, there are currently Native Americans that get taxpayer money for simply being Native American……….The Liberty Party believes that this is merely state sponsored racism by putting one group of people above the rest………the Liberty Party would try to end the flow of money simply for being Native American and use that taxpayer money for items that the government should be spending money on under the constitution. . GLOBAL WARMING PROJECTS: ---------Talk has started to pop up the government should force a law onto the citizens that would require they buy a hybrid car and stop using gasoline powered engines……..Under the constitution, this action would be illegal and the new party would be against making any such laws…….Human-caused global warming is very questionable and there is yet to be concrete evidence that proves it to be true……..and the US government cannot simply use a “scare tactic” to try to increase it’s power………….now obviously, if private companies wish to research alternative forms of energy they are completely allowed to do that, but no law shall be created that forces people to use the alternative energy. . BALANCING FEDERAL BUDGET: ---------- The Liberty party believes strongly in a balanced budget with a surplus……….members of the Liberty party would not stand for “pork-barrel” spending of any kind and would not approve of any budget that is not balanced. (except possibly in extreme circumstances like WW3 when the survival of a nation is at stake)…..This action of balancing the budget would also serve to strengthen the US dollar worldwide. . LINE-ITEM VETO:---------The Liberty party is a supporter of the Line-Item Veto (this is a bill that would allow the president to veto a part of legislation without vetoing the whole bill……the “item” that was vetoed would then go back to the legislature where they could either reform it or try to override with at 2/3 majority)……….this would help in reducing pork-barrel spending by providing the president with a way to veto the pork-barrel spending attached to a bill, but still be able to pass the bulk of the bill. . VALUE OF US DOLLAR: -------A strong US dollar is a key to keeping the economy strong. The new party would be a supporter of keeping the value of the US dollar high. . GOLD STANDARD:---------The Liberty party is in favor of using some sort of “gold standard” to keep the value of the dollar high……with a form of “gold standard” the US dollar will be backed up with some kind of valuable metal and would therefore retain it’s value even if the world economy is in trouble. . FREE TRADE:---------Free trade cannot work if you have 2 nations trading that work with different standards (example: sweatshops in china compared to well-paying jobs in US)……….therefore, the Liberty party would be for canceling our free-trade agreement with such nations as China and then re-evaluating our other free trade agreements…….the new party would also be for canceling the tax breaks that many companies get even if they transfer their business overseas. . NUCLEAR WEAPONS: ---------Disarming your own country of nuclear weapons when a radical nation or dictator somewhere is building them is a terrible idea and only serves to make the nation insecure…….That is why the Liberty party is for maintaining the US nuclear arsenal and is against disarmament. . PARTISAN POLITICS AND SPECIAL INTERESTS: -------- In the new party, this will not be tolerated from any of the members……….if a democrat comes up with a good piece of legislation, we will support it, if a republican does the same, we will also support it…….that simple…………the Liberty party believes in doing what is best for the country and NOT their political career. . GOVERNMENT MONEY TO COLLEGE STUDENTS:-------recently, in the democratic race for the nomination, both Hillary and Obama have said they would give a certain amount of money each year to college students for their education…………The liberty party is against this kind of spending from the federal government…….in primary school, students were simply learning the basic facts they need to know, when students go to college (if they choose to) they stop learning basic facts and start learning the skills needed for a particular trade……………it is not the job of the government to teach you how to do a job…….it is called being responsible and you go after the career you want…….this is more of that freedom. . TAX DOLLARS FOR DAYCARE: ------------ Obama has said he would like to use some US tax dollars to help mothers pay for daycare……….the liberty party would be against this because, again this is a free nation, you take care of your children, NOT the government………the government should only be spending the money it gets on what is allowed for it in the constitution. . BAN ON SMOKING: ---------recently, several states have passed laws that ban smoking in private business along with public buildings……….the liberty party would work to repeal these laws………a private business is owned by a private individual and he can choose whether or not he wishes to ban smoking in his establishment…….and likewise, non-smokers can choose to not go into a business that allows smoking………however, at government buildings such as libraries, if the government wishes to ban smoking there, that is ok because they are in effect the “owners” of that facility. . US INDIAN RESERVATIONS: ----------the Liberty party would seek to abolish the Indian reservations……….for several reasons….#1..it unites us more as a country….#2……We are all Americans and there is no need for special reservations. . GPS CHIPPING:----------in china, the government is chipping their children with GPS tracking devices with the excuse that it will help in the event of an abduction…..the Liberty party believes this would be a huge infringement upon a citizens right of privacy and would be against any form of this in the US. . CCTV CAMERAS: -----Many countries in Europe have put up CCTV cameras around cities for “Security” reasons……..the Liberty party believes this would be a severe infringement upon the rights of US citizens and would be opposed to any sort of legislature that would allow this to happen in the US. . BASIC INFASTRUCTURE: ----------Under the constitution, basic infrastructure is one of the few real jobs of the US government to be in charge of……..the Liberty Party would use more of the GDP to maintain the infrastructure and even expand it to make it better. . NATIONAL LANGUAGE:-----------The Liberty Party is for making English the national language of the US.......People immigrating to the US would have to be able to understand basic english...........making English the national language of the US, will help to bring us together and unite us.........Not to mention by having a national language we will all be able to understand each other. . DEATH PENALTY:----------There are some crimes where the appropriate punishment is death....the Liberty party is a supporter of the death penalty. . "Fair Tax":--------------The current tax code, being over 60,000 pages long is a joke..... ...it is a further example of little personal benifits for politicians being snuck into US national policy.....the fair tax legislation would effectively eliminate the old tax system, and simplify it... ..it would also help prevent tax evasion... the liberty party would support this tax legislation. . . . due to the fact that this parties beliefs are founded upon our founding fathers, much of what this party believes in is personal freedom……….when you have freedom you must also be responsible for yourself….that is part of freedom……..just something to think about. . I would also like to remind everyone WHAT IS HERE IS NOT SET IN STONE…….any one of these ideas written above could change…..they could even change radically, if after a discussion we come to agree upon a certain change…….we can also add things that you believe to be issues…….so remember just because you might not agree with what is written here that doesn’t mean you don’t have a voice here…….speak up loud and proud……then we can have a respectable discussion and if need be, change what is written……………so lets all work together here, and come up with some ideas for this new 3rd party. If you are abolishing tax how are you going to fund paying things like the military etc? Or did I get the wrong end of the stick and it is only land and property tax which you would abolish? What is your stance on personal taxation?

Delete the following, and you've nailed my beliefs perfectly: GAY MARRIAGE, ABORTION, FREE TRADE, BAN ON SMOKING and INDIAN RESERVATIONS. Everything else is perfect. If the states want to do some of that stuff (such as social security and property taxes) fine, but it's not the job of the Federal government to do that kind of thing.

I don't need a third party . . . I just go to the individual platforms and see which I agree with most and it's usually Democratic. I don't agree with the Democrats stand on illegal immigration and that's driving me wacko.

THE DRAFT: - I agree, but the capability to create one (with expanded age and size limits) needs to be in place, in times of war. . BUISNESS: I agree, but there DOES need to be something about monopolies and about protecting small businesses from unfair competition. As for "bailouts", are you saying that the Chrysler bailout, a number of years ago, was not worth it? They paid back the loans early, and provided competition, helping to keep auto prices down for a few more years, and provided great innovations that would never have happened if they had not. Think of the number of auto workers who would have lost their jobs if Chrysler had folded back then. As for homeowners, while some may have been "poor decisions" what of those who purchased their homes with variable rates, and how those variable rates have now ballooned to where almost no one can afford to stay? (Not to mention 25-33% interest rates for late payment on credit cards... What happened to the old days where these rates were only 4-5% above the current rates?) And remember this... When gas prices per barrel go back down to normal, if they ever do, the gas companies now know that many people HAVE to pay the higher price, and will doubtlessly keep those pump prices as high as possible. Same with all the stores who've raised their prices to "offset the shipping costs". Isn't this "profiteering"? . FARM SUBSIDIES: - I agree, to an extent. Not sure about this one. . LIG[H]T BULB BAN: I agree "the government has no business banning something that is completely safe and effective". But what, exactly, are you talking about here? . PROPERTY TAX: I agree, with reservations. . US HEALTH CARE: Now that it's been proven by years worth of people doing so, the prices will NOT go down if there are not rules set here. There's always been a 3rd party. The Green Party. The "Independants"..

Hey C.S.. Great question and answer!! I haven'y had any time lately to check in. The house is coming along. I have a little time, so I will take this in phases.. We need a new party desperatly!! The Dem's are being, well Democrats!! The Rep's have totally lost their way, I have always considered myself to be a "Nationalist". Whatever needs to be done to preserve the principles for the way of life our country was founded on, we need to do. We need to protect our culture, that which has provided the people of this country the freedom to dream and create. In our desire for "multiculturalism" we are losing OUR culture!! Many people confuse this idea with racism, or bigotry. It is not. We need to bring back some "sensitivity" for our own culture, instead of worrying about everybody else's. We are more worried about preserving Iraq's culture than preserving our own. We will allow our boys to die, rather than shoot at a mosque, while at the same time "tear down" the Christian principles that WE have held..And No!!, I am not a Christian... Your list of platform ideals is great, I could only add that the new Party would support the idea of English only. No more ballots in 13 languages. No more "press 2 for English!!". Our language is a huge part of American culture, it binds us together. We are a country of one... "Out of many". We grew to be the most powerful and productive country in the history of the world under the idea that "United we stand, Divided we fall", we are now divided!! I'll go down the list and give you my opinion.. #1. The Military.. We have to have a strong defense. I agree with your funding program, we also need to take into account WHERE we spend this money. Why are foreign countries manufacturing are military hardware???, Why aren't we making our own military equipment, what sense does this make!! Naïve. First of all, we already HAVE a bunch of political parties. Granted, the two major ones by far are the Republican and Democratic parties. But still: http://www.politics1.com/parties.htm The military CANNOT remain at a static GDP funding. This is a sure way to cause trouble. This give NO flexibility to either reduce the military in times not needed or readily increase the military in times of greater need, or to fund R&D and purchase of new and more advanced equipment, or to fund quality of life issues that come up. No draft works fine in peace time and limited military engagements. But for an actual WAR this is unrealistic and fatal. Business: “The Government has no reason to be sticking it’s nose into private business.” If this is so, then why privatize Social Security? Why put the dollar on a gold standard? And the tax system is set up to encourage successful businesses to remain in business by giving business owners tax breaks for reinvesting their profits into the companies they own instead of building them up and taking the profits and running. It keeps the economy and job market far more stable. Property taxes are NOT a federal tax. If you are in favor of keeping big government out of our lives, then you cannot allow big government to override local and state on their own tax systems. They are set up for their own reasons and purposes and eliminating them will place a larger tax burden elsewhere. What U.S. health care system has been around for over two hundred years? And many of the regulations in place PREVENT health care systems from financially raping the citizens. Just streamline the process and make it work. Illegal immigration: A fence? Shades of the Berlin Wall! This is a crock of sh*t. This country was BUILT on immigrants. Deal with the problem government to government and move on. Such a wall is NOT impregnable by any stretch of imagination, not to mention the huge cost of subsequent maintenance, repairs, and upgrades after the initial construction and manning. The wall will not stop drugs, either. Period. No amnesty for illegal immigrants…Really? What about their natural born U.S. citizenship children? There’s a fly in the no amnesty ointment. School vouchers…I thought the government was to stay out of private business? There is a whole INDUSTRY of schools and people out there who will gladly make school vouchers a booming business venture. And if you’re going to give some people money back from taxes they pay for not putting their children in public school, then what about all those taxpayers with no children or whose children are grown and gone who pay taxes for public education? Public education is a government mandated institution and as such it is funded by citizens as a civic responsibility, whether or not their children take advantage of it. Concealed carry right. There is more to this than simply making it a right to carry concealed across the board. It is also the right of an owner of his own private business or property to say NO and deny you access to his property if he wishes. Tread softly here. Hate crime laws do no more to make justice unequal than any other law which differentiates punishments and penalties by categorizing criminal behavior under different levels. The penalty for murder is already greater than the penalty for simple assault and they are both criminal activities. Same for the penalty for assault with a deadly weapon compared to simple assault. There no legal difference there. Maintain military spending constant, and yet you want to increase troops to Afghanistan in addition to supporting the rest of what we’re all ready doing? You have no concept of what it costs to mobilize and maintain 10,000 troops as an effective fighting force, to you? Gay marriage: Much as I personally do not agree with gay marriage, I believe this is a PERSONAL thing. It has nothing to do with criminal activity against society, laws against sodomy and homosexual behavior not withstanding. If you consider it a religious thing, again the government is not in the business of religion by Constitutional law. If churches do not wish to sanctify a gay or lesbian marriage, that is their right by freedom of religious expression and their religious tenents. All that remains is a civil recognition of legal rights of a gay or lesbian couple who choose to live together as a married couple by civil law. This does not have to affect the churches except that they may continue to preach their religious tenets against homosexual behavior, as it would be considered a sin. They do not have to support it within their churches. Tax money to Native Americans. Watch your step here. There is a whole WORLD of law centering around government relations with Native American Indian nations. Yes, I said NATIONS. You cannot simply say you will cut tax money to them because there are treaties between our government and theirs. And those treaties are Constitutionally supported, too. This is an EXTREMELY delicate and complex legal matter. Balanced budget. D*mn good idea. However no pork barrel spending of any kind? Obviously you have no idea what it’s like running a government with over 500 Senators and Representatives, not to mention 50 State governors, and literally tens of thousands of other state and local officials, all of whom have to deal with the wants, needs, and desires of a nation of 300,000,000 citizens. Totally unrealistic. Line item veto. Nice idea. Too bad I don’t support it. It is the job of CONGRESS to deal with matters of budget and spending. The President is supposed to either accept it or reject it by veto. If you give him line item veto power, then he might as well write the budget himself, and THAT is not Constitutional. His job is to MAKE Congress do its job, not do it for them. There is far more to keeping the value of the dollar high than what you have talked about. A precious metal standard alone will not do this by any stretch of the imagination. The value of metals fluctuate as well, sometimes tremendously. Cancel tax breaks for companies who send business overseas? Man, this has been going on for THOUSANDS of years. It’s the whole basis of trade…to affect a mutually beneficial exchange of goods and labor for material goods or services desired. Otherwise, do you know how much it would cost to purchase anything in this country? It would beggar the citizens. Not to mention destroy whole business and industries outright. Partisan politics. If you believe politics can be made non-partisan, you are really operating in la-la land. Politics is, by it’s very nature, partisan. All those politicians have their own constituents to care and provide for. That’s what ultimately makes politics partisan. You’ll never get 300,000,000 people to all agree on ANYTHING, therefore don’t expect it with the politicians or their parties. Non-partisanship is a propaganda phrase used to incite the public into action one way or another. Abolish Indian reservations. And do what? Wipe them out? Seems to me the Native American Indians suffered quite enough of this over the last 500 years. We have TREATIES with them, for crying out loud! You want us to violate them AGAIN? You are out of your legal mind.

Chase out all of the illegal immigrants.Take away welfare for those to lazy to work.Marijuana is illegal,for those who dont think it is,send them to Colombia or else where so we dont have to keep paying to put them in jail.All drug dealers should be shot.All addicts get one chance to get sober,after that Alcatraz would be a nice place for them.I think your getting the idea.

The constitution is clear and does address many of the issues that American's either agree or disagree with. The constitution basically states life, liberty and the pursuit of property(happiness) without government interference. So the government has become a behemouth that constantly interferes with Americans pursuit of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Bring the government back to a size where it is manageable and the American dream will be achievable for most who seek it.
