  • Other than just plain BBQ sauce (whatever you favourite spicy one is), how about plain sour cream or mayonnaise with chili sauce (maybe chili & lime)in it? Add a dash of onion puree (from the Chinese grocery shop) and/or Worcestershire sauce. There are powdered dip mixes available that you can mix with your favourite base - add them to gravy or ketchup instead of sour cream/mayo.

  • A a simple and easy dip for potato wedges would be as follows: 1 Pint Sour Cream 1 package Lipton Onion Soup mix (a generic version will do just as well) Mix the onion soup mix into the sour cream at least an hour before serving. Keep refrigerated. This is great with any potato product such as chips (french fries), crisps (potato chips) or even on baked potatos. Kind of reminds me of sour cream and chives.
  • I would suggest taking some Ranch dressing (whatever kind you like best - I like the kind made from the packet of dried powder, not the bottled kind) and then add some chili powder and a dash of cayenne pepper. Stir it well, and taste it. Add more cayenne if you want. Yum Yum... spicy ranch dip for your potatoes!
  • heat oil in a pan, add spices (basil, oregano, garlic, onion), some red wine, and a can of diced tomatoes. cook down, wait till it cools. You can use it as a dip (add chilies/peppers) or put it on pasta. Can be frozen as well.
  • Tomato ketchup, mayonnaise and tabasco sauce.... yum
