Help answer this question below.

Does anyone think that Krispy Kreme Doughnuts are overated? I have a few oldtime mom and pop Doughnut shops near me that I would rate the at least as good if not better.

    Yes, the are overrated. I've eaten many that were as good and usually better. Most of these have been in smaller mom and pop stores as well. There is one little place in West Virginia I couldn't beleive the variety they had and so dreamy and creamy and light!!! Oh, I fantasize about that place!

    They built one in this area a few years ago. The first two weeks the line of cars was 3 blocks long...Now it's closed. I guess ya can't beat Dunkin Donuts around here

    I love them, but I am close to 2 bakeries that make better doughnuts and they are cheaper and bigger than the KKs. Now I want one :)

    Krispy Kreme is underrated in my opinion. A lot of people say Dunkin Donuts are the best, but I think Krispy Kreme wipes them out. Best . . . . Donuts . . . On . . The Planet.

    YOU CANT FIND A KRISPY KREME WHERE I LIVE, THEY ARE ONLY A MEMORY. THE WARM GLAZED DONUT WAS COOL ONCE OR TWICE, BUT THE OTHERS WERE GROSS. INSTEAD OF KRISPY KREME THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN CALLED DIABETES IN A BOX (WAY TOO SWEET)

    I don't think they are over rated, I do think however that they are unique and there is nothing like them. I love them, but I like some others just as well. You must admit, no one can make a hot glazed like KK.

    I'd never heard of them before until they built one nearby. They are tasty, but their variety isn't that diverse. I only like their original glazed.

    Most often I crave Cherry or Blueberry donuts and Krispy Kreme can't fulfill that.

    Having one donut I like doesn't make them irreplaceable. I do believe they are over-rated as is Tim Hortons.
