What is the difference between graphic cards GeForce8600 and Geforce8400?how much is geforce8600 with 1gb of memory is worth?how much is geforce8400 with 256 memory is worth?and what defference does it make witht the memory of a graphic card? like what is

    The 8600 has a 50% faster Graphics CPU than the 8400. This means that games will display on your screen faster, improving your reaction time.

    What you want to do is purchase a card with first the fastest graphics CPU you can afford, and then as much video RAM as you can get. A 1GB VRAM card will perform dramatically better than a 256MB VRAM card.

    The only possible thing you may run into is that a 1GB Geforce 8600 might be way more video power than any game on the market right now. However, there is something to be said for buying the best card right now: you will not need to upgrade for a few more years, and when you do upgrade your old card might have some resale value left.

    thank you i realli do appreciate your answer....

    and 1 more thing... i have to choose between a really nice HP laptop (T9300 2.5GH, 250GB hardrive, 4gb memory ram with geforce8400 with 256mb VRAM) and a very worth it BENQ (T7500 2.2GH, 260 GB hardrive,2GB momery ram Geforce8600 with 1 gb VRAM... which one would be a better choice???

    can the geforece8400 with 256VRAM play any computer games tat is out now??? or it is not very good?
