Help answer this question below.
this one has had me wondering lately, i always use to think no
Another matter of discussion/argument since the dawn of thought. I like Jung's "synchronicity" concept.
hey guys.......
fate is bullshit...lol...
i mean like jus think abt it...your life depends on urself and each and every person in this world...
lemme get tht right...suppose ure in sm conference, u jus get up to the stage and slap the chief guest, ur life will be different from then ; instead u meet sm chick and get hooked up, ur life will be different; or sm maniac comes up and starts shooting everybody there and ure hurt, ur life will be different....
ya i know, its a stupid example, but think abt it, rather than saying "its fate", "this is the end of it"...jus go out there and change ur life
sry if im wrong....
:)
you ask a false dilemma with that "OR."
People may believe in fate but there really not. Everyday choices we make determine what will happen. Nothing is predetermined.
My personal opinion is that our thoughts and actions are what shape our fate, it is not predetermined.
That's just what I think though, I'd love to hear other people's opinions on this subject.
The latter is true. There is no hidden agenda, no master plan. Sometimes things happen just because they do, random coincidences that could not be factored into our decision making processes (like being on an aeroplane that develops an engine fault - it's just random and coincidental and you could not have known it would happen). Other than these things, you are where you are today because of the decisions you've made (Eg, that's why you are on an aeroplane in the first place). When things are wrong in the present, it's often down to us making poor choices.
I believe that fate is real. We are under the illusion that we have free will. The frequent question is asked; What if I went back and decided to do this? That question is pointless because the choice you made IS the choice you made. Yes we all have and infinite number of choices but the fact of the matter is that we inevitably choose one. There is no way to change the choices we made or the choices we will make since we are constantly stuck in the present. It is a simple cause and effect relationship in where a choice that we consciously or subconsciously make is the effect of a cause. There will always be a cause and hence and effect. The future is unseen but the choices that we WILL make ARE set in stone. Like I said before, we have the ABILITY to make different choices but why choose something is because of a cause that was set in motion since the birth of time itself.

You're reading Is fate real? OR Are the every day decisions, thoughts, and actions of you and others that create the crazy ironies and coincidences that seem to happen all the time?
