  • Your average blood test, or even an extensive one requiring vials of the stuff, does not take enough to affect you in any way. I would think that, even if you had the full "book" thrown at you, you would be back to normal volume within a day. Actually, I doubt that there would be a significant depletion even with extensive testing. Even patients who have bloodworked ordered TID in the hospital do not suffer ill effects from it other than becoming annoyed at the poor phlebotomists who have to draw them. I am the night shift phlebotomist so I have much experience with this.
  • i think it's like 5 days on the outside, that's why your only supposed to donate no closer than 7 i think. this is all hear-say tho. ask someone who knows
  • It depends on the volume of blood that is depleted. That volume depends on the specific test that is performed...some test require a larger sample than others. Blood is replenished reasonably quickly, as red blood cells reproduce at a fairly swift rate. You are looking at less than an hour for a small vial.
  • Thats a really good question. I would like to know about a blood donation.
  • not long at all. that is a scant amount compared to the rest of the 5.6 liters left.
