  • This is kinda coming of the top of my head, but I wanna say ceder
  • The ac2 treated should be fine. But if your that worried about it I would go to see a professional at a REAL lumber yard, not these kids at home depot and menards and lowes. Will you be putting some of the wood in the water? (ie, legs or supports) ALso, the part I'd be more worried about is if your staining the wood. I don't think the treated wood will leach into the water enough to matter but the stain i'm sure would.
  • I think Redwood, Cedar or Bamboo would be good. You COULD build the pilings of cement or steel, and only use the wood as the deck.
  • I think Redwood is your best bet! Check out www.gazeboaccents.com or www.gazebo-enterprise.com
  • Check at the lumber yard what type of pressure treated lumber they sell. Many places are phasing out the stuff that has arsenic and mother toxins and some of it has much safer chemicals in it. Or you could use cedar or redwood in the water itself but then to save money and make sure it lasts, use treated above the water line. Cedar is not only rot resistant, it is also highly insect resistant, so it might be your best choice near a pond.
  • Teak, provided your budget allows for it
